Have you ever felt alone in this world? Like no one understands what you are going through? Well, Jesus understands! He wants so bad to turn your darkest hour, days, months, years...into your brightest!! Come with me as I take you into God's word and show you how to change your darkest hour into your brightest hour.... Psalm 3:2-6 2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. 3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. 4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. 5 I laid me down and slept ; I awaked ; for the LORD sustained me. 6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. Joshua 10:25 25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed , be strong and of good courage : for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight . 1 Peter 1:3-7 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. 4. To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you. 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice , though now for a season, if need be , ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth , though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. Thoughts As we take a look into these verses I want you to really understand who are in Christ. The enemy would like for you to believe all the negative things that people tell you, or that you tell yourself, that you are! Who are you? Ephesians 1:4-6 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundationof the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us untothe adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved . You are a child of the one true King! You are royalty! All these things that you let steal your joy, and brings a cloud over you...rebuke them in the name of Jesus! Through your faith in Christ you are an overcomer! As we reread Psalms 3:2-6 above, many of us face this daily. People remind us of who we once were before Christ, but all that matters is who Christ tells us we are, and in that verse it tells us that he protects us and takes care of our every need. Even when we sleep, he is there. Psalm 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice : let them ever shout for joy , because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. We should live joyously knowing that Christ is ever near us, nothing can harm us if our faith and trust is in him. Looking at 1 Peter 1:3-7, we see that our faith is going to be tried; but if we stand strong in Jesus it says that we might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. We may have to suffer a little in this life, but we should never let the enemy steal our joy, because in the end we shall triumph!

8/29/2017 0 Comments Keep Your Eyes on HimSometimes life gets hectic. It seems that there are just not enough hours in day. It can get very overwhelming. But one thing we must always do is take time to spend with Jesus. It has to be top priority. The laundry can wait, dinner can wait, the kids can wait, family ordeals can wait...everything can wait! But He can not, He must not wait. In Matthew 14:22-31 we are reminded what happens when we take our eyes off Christ; Peter took his eyes off Christ for just a moment to look at the storm and the waves around him, and he began to sink. So, if you are feeling overwhelmed maybe you have started looking at the storm instead of to Christ. Make Him your top priority, spend time alone with Him in Prayer and reading the word. Isaiah 40:31 say: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Have you renewed your strength today?
8/27/2017 3 Comments God's GloryA few days ago I ran across a video that was recorded of me. A lot of mixed emotions was stirred up. I couldn't believe it was me in those videos; I was looking at a totally different person..a person I had forgot, a person that...thanks to Jesus Christ...does not exist anymore. This video helped me see how far God has brought me. Even though I was alone while watching this video, I was embarrassed. I had a few too many drinks and I was acting so stupid...and in front of people!
As I was watching, God reminded me that I have nothing to be embarrassed about. You see, one night all alone in my room, I cried out to Christ for a change. I was tired of the life I was living, I knew there had to be a better way. As the tears ran down my face and my heart broke inside...Jesus met me there, He wash away all those sins and the desires to do them. He gave me a brand new start. By the time that video had ended, I was smiling. Because it showed me just how powerful my God is! He took that wretched sinner that I was, and He did something I couldn't do...He changed me into someone who now does everything I can to bring glory to Him! Sure, that video reminded me of what I use to be...but it also reminded me of who I am now in Him. It is wonderful to know that I serve a God that can do the impossible!!! |
